As a mother to four children of my own, I understand how precious and fleeting every moment is with your children. From those first precious days of life to when they have outgrown you and are getting ready to conquer the world on their own. This is what a session with a grumpy toddler looks like…
Doesn’t look like it… huh? Grumpy toddlers just mean we have to work a little harder at making moments. Good thing I brought some bubbles. It worked for a bit along with A LOT of exploration and a Mom who was totally committed to getting some good moments!

Pretty sure I am experiencing all 557 emotions today and I can’t talk about it yet, but I will be able to very soon!
On another note, I am also feeling crazy excited because I get to go shoot at a location that I have ALWAYS wanted to shoot at but couldn’t really without knowing someone who knows someone. Well, I finally have that client and it could not have been more perfect timing.
So we are headed to a gorgeous ranch this evening and spending two hours roaming around the grounds to shoot their family session. I won’t be able to share it on social media, but I do have permission to share it on my website so stay tuned for a blog post on this one!!!

I know it’s Sunday and I shouldn’t post, but I don’t care. I couldn’t wait. Last night turned out to be SO incredible. The most epic maternity session. I was so worried because it was CRAZY windy. We had 40mph gusts, but my client was from out of town and there was no option to reschedule so we both decided to just go for it.
It rained on us. We also watched lighting striking in the sky above our heads but we somehow we still managed to make the most magical images. The sky and location did not disappoint.
Also HUGE shoutout to the team at @desertgracebeauty_lv for hooking it up with hair and makeup because despite the winds, my clients hair hung in there and she looked beautiful! Can’t wait to share this whole session.

Today is a VERY eventful day for us. A lot of big changes coming. On another note, I am headed out later to fight the 40mph winds for an out of town client that wanted an epic maternity session. So we are going to make it happen regardless. Hoping the sun comes out at least.
Had fun adding some wildflowers to this one with the help of Ai, because well… we live in the desert and wildflowers are hard to come by. Looking forward to sharing more from this gorgeous session.

Let`s talk grumpy toddlers! It happens. Sometimes your little one is just not feeling it and that is totally okay! I will adjust.
What does that mean? Maybe your full session turns into a mini session as in this case. Maybe we need to reschedule all together. I have had this happen as well. However, I will say, that it is not something that happens often. In most instances, I can win toddlers over in some form or another. But sometimes, no matter how many games we try to play to make it fun, they just don’t want to be there and that is okay. It’s hard to know sometimes how your toddler is feeling so we have to be flexible with emotions.
Luckily, I was able to pull out just enough cute moments from this to make a mini session out of it. But, can we also appreciate her grumpy face (slide left). She was mean mugging me and it was too freaking cute!
Bonus of leaving a chaotic session, is surprising mom with the moments she didn’t think we got! Can’t wait!

I finally get to share a few more favorites from this gorgeous mini session! Mountain sessions are definitely back and I am so excited! I want to be on the mountain all day, every day! If I could move up here, I totally would.
I am hoping to have an update for you all on my schedule by the end of this month. I have been giving it some thought and while I still have a lot of uncertainty surrounding my schedule moving forward, I want to be transparent. So I am going to be sending out an update with a newsletter along with an update here on IG soon.

This is probably one of my favorite mommy and me sessions to date. I could have photographed these two all day! They were the most photogenic duo and their wardrobe choices were so gorgeous!!!
I am really enjoying the slow down this year and not being able to host a mini session event. It’s just so much sweeter being able to capture 30 minutes worth of motherhood moments!
I have a full hour mommy and me session coming up at this same location and I can’t wait!!! Already dreaming up all the beautiful moments!

Today has been a really big and crazy day. I am finally getting closer to being able to share some big news. I wrapped up this session today and now I am getting ready to go get some dinner items to make my birthday boy a dinner this evening.
But first, I wanted to get this session out there in the IG universe. I need to unwind for a second after this post. So much happening in my life on a daily basis that no one sees. Really hope I can share some of it with you all soon.
