As a Las Vegas Lifestyle Photographer it is my goal to capture authentic moments and interactions with my family sessions. I want to help capture all the love and joy that a family has. My goal is not to create perfect poses, but rather perfect moments. When a family with little ones shows up ready to engage, I know it’s going to be an amazing session and one that leaves me feeling inspired. That is how I felt about the “I” family.
While in the planning phases of speaking with mom about her family portraits, we decided on two locations. Nelson Ghost Town followed by the Lake Bed. I am not a huge fan of Nelson Ghost Town because it is usually really crowded with not a lot of room for the kids to run free. So pairing this location with the Dry Lake Bed helps because I can focus more on intimate groupings at Nelson and then when we move the Dry Lake Bed, the kids have so much room to play. We definitely capture so much joy in the second location.
I usually work extensively with my families on wardrobe planning for their portrait session. When I asked I can provide style boards with lots of suggestions. This mama put together a beautiful wardrobe for her family. The long maxi dress she chose provided so much movement for the windy lake bed. The color palette was also perfect for each location. I honestly adored this family! They had so much love for each other and it was bursting at the seems. I love all the wonderful moments we captured during their session.
I haven’t blogged any family sessions in a while so its only fitting that I start with a huge share! There were just too many awesome portraits in this session to narrow down for the blog post. However, I hope you enjoy checking out this beautifully styled family session.
