I learned a long time ago that doing in home lifestyle newborn portraits was going to be more of my style of photography. It fits right in to my lifestyle approach to family portrait photography. I am not even sure how I have waited this long to share this session. iIt is literally one of my favorite newborn sessions to date.
I have know this family for quite some time. They have been in front of my camera on many occasions through the years. The most recent one being mom’s amazing maternity session. The one thing I love about working with Shana and Adam is everything they do has meaning. There is no better way to tell a story than to incorporate meaningful items into a session. From the handmade dress made out of her mother’s and grandmother’s tablecloths to the handprinted mural on the wall. Even the wolf has a special meaning behind it.
When Shana asked me to do in home lifestyle newborn portraits for her new little one I was over the moon excited. I mean, I have know this dynamic duo for years and now. To have the honor of photographing their first baby is beautiful. I am completely honored to know them. We were even able to document his first good latch. Shana had been struggling with breastfeeding like so many moms do. Even having a really bad round of mastitis did not stop her. Now little man is several months along and is feeding like a champ and such a happy baby. I can’t wait for the next family session. Here are a few of my favorites of their in home lifestyle newborn portraits. I hope you enjoy looking through them as much as I did.
