I am so very excited to share my very first maternity and surprise engagement session. It’s actually funny how this session played out.
This beautiful mama first contacted me about surprising her boyfriend with a Maternity Mini Session on Valentines Day. Somehow he found out about it and couldn’t do it on Valentines Day because of a work commitment so we had to reschedule. It ended up being a blessing he found out. Plus it was super windy on Valentines Day and would have been hard to pull off.
Then we ended up scheduling their session for one week later. During that week, her boyfriend contacted me and told me he wanted to do a surprise proposal at the end of their session. I was beyond excited to help him plan it. I also knew that the location we were going to would have an epic view point at the end to make it the perfect place.
We came up with a few code words to prepare for the when the exact moment would happen. She had absolutely no idea. It was perfect and I loved capturing all the emotion that happened during the process.
This beautiful lady told me several times how shy she was and how worried she was about being in front of the camera. Turns out she was actually a superstar at taking photos. We used one of my dresses for part of the session and the other half she styled herself. The color palette was absolutely perfect against the desert backdrop.
