A Beautiful Family Maternity Session in Tyler, Texas

There is something so special about documenting a family just before they welcome another little one. This beautiful family of four met me at Flying H Ranch for a Tyler Texas maternity session. The evening could not have been more perfect.

With wide-open fields, a peaceful pond, tall East Texas trees, and even a few curious goats wandering into the background, the ranch gave us the perfect setting for a relaxed, storytelling-focused session. To capture the heart of a maternity session in Tyler, Texas, with this sweet family, we focused on the connection between everyone. We also captured the little moments, movement, laughter, and anticipation of their newest addition.

A Maternity Session with a Little Ranch Magic

Mom chose one of the beautiful dresses from my client closet for part of her session, adding an extra touch of elegance against the natural surroundings of the ranch. This was the perfect look for a maternity session. It made everyone in the family shine.

And then there were the goats! Having them casually grazing in the background was such a fun little piece of the Flying H Ranch experience. It also made this session feel even more personal to their family. This gave their Tyler Texas maternity session a playful and unique twist.

Golden Hour to Blue Hour

One of my favorite parts of this maternity session was watching the light change throughout the evening. We started with gorgeous golden-hour sunlight glowing across the fields before moving into a beautiful sunset. As the sun disappeared, the soft blue-hour light created an entirely different mood for the final portraits.
