Let's Connect
It’s an emotional day for me today. We closed on our house today which makes this whole move official. 16 years we have been in this home. It is the only home my boys have known. Two of them were born in this home.
Someone once told me that people are afraid of change because of they are afraid of leaving “things” behind. But it’s not the “things” that carry meaning. It’s the memories we created with the people we love that we carry and those stay with us forever.
While we are closing this chapter of our lives here, I am also leaving with a gift. Photography has given me the opportunity to capture so many memories here in a photo and I am so grateful that God has given me the gift to capture it all. I thought it was fitting to share some of my favorite memories here, in this house.
📷 What to pack for your family session? Spoiler alert: it’s not in your diaper bag or the backseat of your car…
Here are the 5 most important things to bring:
1. A willingness to have fun
2. A go with the flow attitude
3. Vulnerability over flawless presentation
4. Trust in your photographer
5. A stress free attitude
These are the ingredients for moments that matter — the giggles, the cuddles, the chaos, and the connection. Let’s capture your real story, beautifully. 💛

Sometimes, life whispers to your heart so gently, you don’t realize how loud it’s been calling until you finally listen. 💛
After a lot of prayer, dreaming, and deep conversations, our family decided to make a big move… to Texas. 🏡🌾
We’re trading the fast pace city life for front porch sunsets. The busy schedules for wide open spaces. We’re leaning into country living—the kind I grew up with—and offering our kids something simpler, slower, and so much sweeter.
Fresh eggs in the morning, barefoot backyard adventures for my little man, meals made with love and ingredients from a neighbor’s farm stand… it’s more than a lifestyle shift—it’s a return. A remembering. A chance to finish raising our kids in a place that feels like home deep in our bones.
This isn’t just a move. It’s a choice to be intentional with our time, our food, our values… and our roots. 🌿
To all the mamas who feel that nudge in their soul to live a little slower, a little closer to the earth, a little more like “how we used to”—you’re not alone. We’re chasing that dream too. I miss these days when my oldest sons were young and I am longing for more.
Texas, here we come. 🤍

As if preparing for a move isn’t enough, we have decided to sign up the older two boys for every tournament and baseball league possible this summer before we move. So if you need me, you can find me on hot ball field sweating profusely as I watch my kids get in some work.
Throwback to this gorgeous family in spring 2024.

Give me all the orchards and sunflowers and grassy fields! I am on a little bit of a break from “moving” tasks this week so I might take a drive and see if I can find me some wildflowers.
I could use some fresh air and maybe some mountain time before it’s gone.

In honor of all of the green spaces and gorgeous fall tones that will soon take up my feed, I thought I would share some images that reflect that.
I am really looking forward to a change in scenery. Don’t get me wrong, the desert is full of its own beauty, but after living in it for 22 years, I am ready for something different.
Can’t wait to meet all the families! If you are currently in the Tyler, Texas area, I should be ready to take clients starting in fall 2025. Look forward to meeting you!

So I am pretty sure I have never introduced myself on Instagram with images. I am kind of weird about sharing images of myself but since I finally got some updated headshots and I am moving to a new area, maybe now is a good time to share a bit.
Heeeyyyy….
I’m Jamie. Mother to 4. Ages, 28, 17, 15, and 8. Currently experiencing all stages of life. LOL! I was born and raised in San Diego, California but moved to Las Vegas when I got married and planted our roots here for 22 years. Now, we are moving on to new adventures in Tyler, Texas and I am really looking forward to this new chapter and all that it will bring.
I am celebrating 14 years in business as a family photographer this month! Kind of wild. I’ve done it all from teaching classes, hosting workshops, and even being a second shooter at a few weddings. But what really brings me joy in all of it, is maintaining a more quiet, very low key presence in the photography community. I love my business, but I also love my family and don’t want to miss out on the memories that we make.
I quit teaching photography classes so I could homeschool my kids and be more present and I couldn’t be happier. Now we are headed to Texas in hopes to really embrace the simpler life with a little bit of land, a garden and maybe some chickens in our future. Stay tuned!
